John PozniakJohn is an undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota class of 2011. He is pursuing a dual degree of a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.S. in Genetics, Cell Biology, and Development. His decision to pursue cancer research was inspired by his diagnosis of lymphoma at a young age. His appreciation for cancer therapy has lead to an interest in comparative oncology and cancer immunotherapy which has led him to the Modiano lab. Upon graduating, he plans on pursuing graduate school for Cancer Biology. John grew up in International Falls, a town directly on the north border of Minnesota and currently lives in Minneapolis. He enjoys his time spent on the lake, fishing, hunting, and camping. He also enjoys playing music in the form of percussion and guitar instruments and hopes to someday get into recording.
