portuguese water dogs support hemangiosarcoma Research

The Portuguese Water Dog Foundation and the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America joined forces to support development ofa test that will allow us to confirm a diagnosis of hemangiosarcoma in dogs using a simple blood test. In addition to the advantages of a non-invasive blood test, this may have applications for early detection that will help us to improve treatment outcomes. The test has been licensed for use and is undergoing validation steps before it is available as part of the diagnostic tool box for veterinarians who diagnose and treat this disease.
